Amanda is known for her fervent determination, remarkable thirst for knowledge, and selfless love towards humanity. Born in 1983 to an impoverished Kentuckian family at an early age she knew adversity, stout with determination Amanda became the first in her family to ascertain an achievement of higher education; emancipated at sixteen (16) into a world far too real -- by the age of twenty (20) she would accomplish victory over impoverishment. Diagnosed, in 2004, with a debilitating gastrointestinal illness; seemingly overnight her health lost to an illness that would later be confirmed as terminal by the medical professionals who rigorously attempted treatment.
Refusing to relinquish her fortitude Amanda adapted herself around ill health, discovering a successful path based upon her writing that had been previously overlooked and discredited. Through the inspirational and positive support of those in her life, she proved herself unbreakable; working from home as a journalist, her passion encapsulated by the current revolution of social networking and new media. Resiliently pushing herself towards a personal apex Amanda rediscovered her “purpose” with the hope of the Blogger-based account you read today, such purpose has lead to a title of self-made business professional; graciously reflective of the professionalism she continues to strive toward instead of living with the limitations forced upon her though the mere words of terminal illness and chronic pain.
