Target Mobile Coupons: The Future of Couponing and Frugality

Attention Target Shoppers

Are you aware that the Target Corporation has extended the methods of consumer frugality in 2010, joining many retail stores Target is currently offering additional savings through mobile phone technology. I currently am connected with Target Mobile Coupons and in the recent few days seen great benefit in some recent impressive releases; such as today’s offer of $2 off any pair of shoes.

As an avid frugalist and bargain shopper I would recommend signing up for the upcoming holiday season and especially signing up if Target is your preferred store of choice as today’s frugalist. Please be mindful that an additional cell phone fee applies to this data transfer, I would only recommend Target Mobile Coupons to those mobile users who have a cell phone plan that is unlimited and without additional fee for text/data transfer. Please note that your carrier will have more information about this, if you are interested in applying unlimited transfers due to the sudden mobile couponing increase I would recommend the website; most of us today currently have unlimited transfers so if you are unsure before signing up insure transfers/text are free in a unlimited amount. You’re due to obtain a few each day, from Target; giving the best club savings.

Lastly, you do not need to print anything to redeem your mobile coupons; this is the same for every store you are a mobile coupon member of. You will need to show the coupon on your mobile device to your cashier at the time of purchase; I always do this prior to the transaction starting so to reduce confusion and/or forgetting. Once you show the cashier, you will be set to use your printed and insert manufacture coupons for a trio of savings when these deals are able to be ascertained. I’m very happy to say, I’m now a couponing mobile addict as a rave of the future of frugality; please look into this if you have not done so (just not limited to Target.com).

The Simple Life of the Amish vs. Technological Mayhem

Twenty-seven years prior I was born into the integration of hard work, the youngest of three I became nursed on verdant pastures, thoroughbreds, and fertile fields of annual yield. To date my dearly loved parents, regardless of age, maintain over a hundred picturesque acres of prized farmland in the out skirting heartland of an unincorporated community known as Glendale. Amidst a very small township, the Amish community comprises half of the populace; making the town stout in tradition and values.

For as long as I can remember, my parents have always offered water to the Amish travelers on route to and from the larger city of Elizabethtown; for their horses and neighborly communication. Ten years ago, the generosity of my parents was honored by an Amish family; one that my parents were building a wonderful friendship with. This honor came with the acceptance into the Amish community, something that few outsiders achieve. My parents and I were allowed to attend their harvest festival and barn raising communal events, we were invited into the Amish home and welcomed as guests to their table, even invited to church, wedding, and funeral services. My parents continue to keep the close connection.

On Thursday my father phoned early in the morning to check on my health, I asked him if he would enjoy my company as I knew he was on his way to have coffee with an Amish elder. We left very early in the morning, absent of modern convinces the brewed coffee was wonderful; however the communication was priceless. Tales of the weather, predictions of the winter, laughter and jokes as I was able to meet his wife and six of his twenty-two (22) children; twenty-two (22), only a single set of twins. As the men chatted I watched his daughters cook for the noon meal, still three hours away yet without modern supplies and only a wood cook stove the time that was needed to start. My eyes gazes outside where his wife was washing without the commodity of a machine that we’re far too attached too; a barrel to boil, a tub to wash, a smaller tub to rinse each individual piece. Her granddaughter, barely able to set up on her own, kept in a wooden wagon watched her grandmother with eyes so wide as two grandsons walked home from school – books under their arms six and four perhaps.

I excused myself from the conversation and set on the front stoop, my eyes watching horse drawn buddies create a traffic jam on a thin dirt path; each having a place to be. On the faces each woman, man, and child wore their happiness well, as to myself I thought of my own family and life. I said to myself, “what a simple life these humbling men and woman live”. Acknowledging that I couldn’t survive in the community a single day with the responsibilities’ a female must abide by. Yet my face lit up, as men worked by hand in corn crops and women dug up potatoes in their withered gardens, to see the simple life so up close and personal, to see that positivity reflected on their faces; a life so different yet so happy, everyone said hello and the men tipped their hats respectably as I spoke to everyone I saw. Happiness yet without modern commodities, happiness yet without electric or plumbing, happiness even without an automobile; their happiness evident without the knowledge of social media or technology they have never laid touch upon. I had a hard time leaving the “simple life” I found, knowing that the life I lead is filled with modern technology and everything the Amish were without; yet material things failed to bring the happiness I seen on their faces and in their eyes.

When I arrived home I arrived home to no phone line and no internet services, a wire snapped into by the wind. Turning to my mobile iPhone I phoned repair to create a ticket and attempted for an hour to resolve the issue; transferred near to a dozen times, each met with human stupidity of trying to sell me a product when it was a mere repair I yearned to obtained. I cussed in anger and freely expressed my opinion, getting nowhere I phoned locally to get transferred back into mayhem and misery. After an hour, I hung up only to think of the simple life I had been a part of just minutes before; the happiness I seen and the complete devastation I felt in reference to not having the outside connection I rely so heavy upon, for work and for leisure.

A connection I am addicted to having, a drug so promoted; I'm not alone my friend, this is far too common for the generation of youth to be the future and those under thirty (30). I felt alone, much more alone than prior; no sense of community, no neighbor to assist when ill as the traditional values of the Amish community are built upon. New-age. State of the Art. This technology we rely upon is not equal to happiness friend, simply we have lost all sense of the people who surround us; friends, family, and neighbors. An addiction growing stronger, as those who should come together grow more and more apart, this evident in my three hours of heated cursing of the phone company; supposed to simply our life yet nowhere near the “simple life” were happiness is known each moment -- without the infiltration of the innovative drug.

Has Technology Given Us Happiness

The Benefits of Rural Living to Today's Frugalist

Outside my window thoroughbreds graze pastures of verdant green; a faded barn of aged gray offers to tell many stories of ancestor’s unknown; noble men, women, and children who came before me. A lone tree, nature’s focal point, provides solace; a life sacrificed by Mother Nature’s lightning sharp tongue, possibly, decades prior to my beginning within these fields. Purport to personal inspiration this land rural, ragged, rich, rugged wilderness; a treasure trove waiting to be explored. Often I complain, yet deep within I cannot imagine living elsewhere; surrounded by farmland, rural living has encapsulated my spirit.

Minutes away from scenic overlooks and historical battlefields, tranquil my surroundings; hundreds fought on this land I stand, carnage in the bloodiest battle fought to date on American soil. Wind whispers through the willows and shades of oak and pine of those men, brother forced against brother, dozens confirmed through genealogical research as a part of who I am. Lone cobble stone walls stand to date on the property, built by both solider and slave; historical markers. Corn, soybean, tobacco, barley, and hay as far as the visual eye can see. Silence echoes the picturesque countryside as slowly the world creeps by.

Rural living has numerous advantages to those avid in their frugality and those especially close to the perspective of family, yet it isn’t without collective frustrations. For me, life isn’t about running to a store for every little thing nor is it compiled of shopping based on the premise of boredom. As I have written many times in my frugal segments, stores are set up with the effort to profit; around each turn awaits a marketing secret pre-planned to capture attention and advance in money being spent. Logically the more that one can stay out of a store, unspecific of type, the more money he/she will save; at the end of the year this savings amounts to thousands. Living within a rural area equates to an increased amount of money in the bank, which I transfer into my saving account each thirty day period; this due in part to the simplicity of not being distracted by in-store marketing ploys.

We increase the amount of money saved by making a single trip useful for many things, instead of a waste of gas for one; as a family many times he and I have had concerns so much so about the price of gas and weighed it against making a special trip into town to collect on a low price or coupon, in the case of our location saving half off may not be worth it and may indeed mean we spend to save. Typically our trips are compiled into one adventure each, everything that we need is purchased; thus I must have a solidly established household list. Within the past six months those trips have grew more frequent, yet thrifty, as only five miles away a Dollar General store was built; a rather large rural superstore that has been of true frugal benefit to us.

In addition any trip we budgeted for, so to say that prior to store arrival a certain amount is deducted from what I would spend for a vehicle fund and gas deduction; without factoring in vehicle wear and tear, even on a new or like new automobile, and/or factoring in the gas that a roundtrip venture will take it is easily to bust the budget each month. It may only be a thirty minute drive to Wal-Mart, however we have estimated the round trip cost of the drive alone lessens are spendable amount by $5; this five dollars is added into a vehicle fund that is kept concise through financial budgeting software. In example both vehicles underwent changes to oil and filters in addition to planning for winter; I did not have to worry about the frugal $29 per automobile as this amount was deducted from our established vehicle care fund. Yes, I had a coupon for the services ascertained; I always do.

We purchase fresh fruits and vegetables from our nearby Amish community, as well as localized orchards; both saving us a seasonal trip into the grocery for these items or in our case the local organic coop. In this regard, I can take $10 to the Amish community and fill my entire backseat up with fresh homegrown delights; I still have $4-$5 of savings from the budgeted $10 to add into any open fund we have as a family.

The Simple Life: The Amish Community (To Come)

In many ways the investment of saving the most money overrides the inability to use a particular mobile phone service provider or go to a specific retail store which may be unavailable to our area due to its rural nature. Whatever the factor, we have planned in advance for each hit to our wallets while cutting out the enticing marketing routines; leaving rural living at an advance over the structure of city living where everything is in reach. It’s my home and the connection to family leaves us passing the knowledge of living off the land to the generation to come, daily, as we proudly raise future leaders.

Has New-Age Technology Increased Our Happiness?

Computers continue to transform society as a twenty-first century technological revolution rages. The perception of time has collapsed. Distance exists as no longer an obstacle. Within this modern age crossing oceans and trouncing boundaries encompasses a single mouse click, stylus touch, or finger tap; establishing the foundation of a globally interconnected society. Known as the most important technological achievement of the present day, computers subsist in nearly every home; each bred with astounding second by second connections towards a much larger infrastructure. Simplistically through such connective use we are able to solve the most difficult barriers that would have previously remained incomplete. Varying in an infinite ability; today’s technology has produced noticeable achievements in field of medicine, education, business, and equally the daily life of the avid user. Technology has become essential to how we live, so much so that in some cases when the connective formula is removed the human shuts down; perceiving the removal that of a worldly end.

With proper justification, the twenty-first technologically apt society has not only put a complete reliance on technological connections; the younger generation, under thirty (30), has merely became addicted to the constant stability of an Internet connection. Newly adapted to the use of computers, mobilized devices, and various gadgets of connectivity; far too often the acclimatization of connectivity is taken for granted, so much so that spontaneous service outages take with them the causality of the pre-mentioned younger generation. Given this fact, has technology created a happier being in the vast universe?

Provoked by innovation, often we discover ourselves desiring something much bigger and much better; keeping up with the Jones’ has never been so explosive than what it has now become. Larger televisions with picture clarity, computers yielding data at more rapid pace, storage terabytes in size, better music, adapt vehicle technological packages, mobile phones built with today’s latest innovation; gadgets, gadgets, and more gadgets of greed. Our happiness appears attributed to the next materialized technological object, we feel as if to fit in we must have it all; increasing debt for desire. Our children raised to become the future generation voice specifications for items, following in our digitalized footsteps; texting instead of communicating, gaming over gathering. Yet has technology brought to us the happiness we seek as the simple life of our ancestors fade away, their legacy failed to be treasured or taught to our youth; blinded by this consistently changing additive focus on the innovation of the future. We exist merely as the slaves to technological driven perspectives, sacrificing our souls for a connection that we take for granted as always there.

Cooking For A Family: No Eating Out Challenge Tips

Are you interested in joining the Interweb in a month of at home dinners without a single night of dining out or ordering in; yet you do not know as to how to go about the challenge in a successful method. Christina has listed her ideas that she will be using and I have expanded on her ideas to provide the benefit of assistance to you; as well I will list what I will be doing to keep on my monthly target. Please note that you can add to your own list based on your family and the size of your family.

Charting A Food Inventory:

-To assist your family during the November’s challenge you should first go through your pantry, food cabinets, and freezers so to see what you have; in some ways this can give inspiration to the meals you will fix for a week. Based on the coupons discovered online as well as the Sunday paper inserts, once you have listed your inventory it is my recommendation to plan based on the items you can save the most on; typically I find that it is best to plan by newspaper sale flyer, coupons area also introduced on items not appearing. With these three areas a weekly plan can quickly be created and less money will be spent, giving your family more money for what’s important. In example, I have two rice mixes in my pantry; I obtained a coupon for smoked sausage making one (1) meal and will look for the best price on a chicken breast for a second (2) meal. Reducing eating out does not mean going to the grocery more frequently, you will continue to go at the regular interval, yet be more focused on purchasing items you will need for nutritional family home dinners. In addition you may find yourself clipping more coupons so to save more, which is a frugal way to tackle the money spent dining out.

Food Planning By Menu:
-I personally dislike food menu’s as I feel that I am caged and limited to what I have written down, however I have altered several things about a basic menu to better fit my family so to give options. By adding more complete dinners and removing the products I choose to use for a given dinner, I never run into the limits I did when a basic food menu was first attempted. Menus at home often reduce the desire to eat outside, granted if the menu is listed without limitation. I offer a hefty menu with a great deal of choices so to never bore the mind, their mind and mine; so in essence I pattern my family food menu as that of a restaurant. However, one meal is served.

Plan In Advance:
-I cannot suggest enough how critical it is to purchase in bulk and family sizes that can be easily cut down and wrapped up; this way I advance these towards the next weeks menu and most often have meat options for an entire month. I will just need to buy side dish type items and I do this as well in bulk only based on special deals and coupons; so to save the most and apply bulk purchases to the creation of four menus or a month’s worth of food options. Side items are listed and can be mixed and matched at a limit of two in my home, due to nutritional objectives. I always allow my family to choose in advance what they desire dinner to be yet I plan in my head each dinner in advance for the entire week as a “fall back list”. Due to shopping bi-monthly I can typically plan the entire month. However if you shop weekly planning in advance of two weeks is recommended; not forgetting to mix and match dishes. In addition serve items and create restaurant type menus, just make it clear only one winning desire will be accepted at a time. You could also allow a family member to choose on a specific day.

Look To Your Cookbooks & Kitchen Tools:
-Like many woman I have a host of cookbooks, none of which I use; however I plan on using them as an effort to create and try new dishes. I would recommend that all cooks invest in a few of simple and easy dinner cookbooks. In addition I recommend having a crock pot as so much can be cooking while you are asleep or at work and in a few minutes heated and prepared. Please note there are hundreds of crock pot cook books, the key here is to pull out simple meals that your family will eat; never buy a cook book if you are sure your family will not ouch the food it gives steps to make nor should you buy a cookbook if the meals are too much of a time investment. Microwaves and confectioner ovens are two useful kitchen gadgets to add to the earlier Crockpot recommendation; all three named gadgets allow for the ease of time management in the kitchen so to get your dinners on the table the quickest of all

Gain Support and Enlist Help:
-When in doubt for what to fix for dinner, lunch, or breakfast you should always utilize help; the same as when you are pressed for time an extra set of kitchen hands become useful; get the kids involved if need be. Do not be afraid to request recipes from your mother, mother-in-law, neighborhood friends, co-workers, or search Google for specific options that you may have. I research all the time and I am lucky to have a home cooking mother who has supplied me with recipes to help my family in a scrapbook for the kitchen. I should never be without ideas and as long as I keep the coupons clipped and take part in local sells I’m not; on those times I am Google is my useful tool so to not eat out for the November “No Eating Out Challenge” you will need to invest in all the options so to save the most money and reach your target objectives.

No Eating Out In November: A Family Challenge

Christina, owner and author of Northern Cheapskate, has founded what I believe to be an exceedingly imperative idea for our households and beloved family; set to begin November 1, 2010 her proposal is known simplicity as the “No Eating Out Challenge”. Boosting our household budgets and clearing a passage way to financial frugality, this posed challenge reaps in benefits without a single aspect of detriment; the largest in perspective, of course, is the essential allowance of overall family health and its reduction of obesity. As a mother of three boys, twins of three (3) and a five (5) year-old, Christina is an inspiration to fellow penny pinching coupon clippers; such inspiration continues with November’s “No Eating Out Challenge”. I intend to make it a goal to join Christina and I invite you, my friends in frugality, to also join this increasingly important challenge.

Within a society often scheduled to a personal demise coupled with the accelerated velocity of the world outside our windows, eating out has become a first-degree convenience that has the potential to harm the human body; the long lasting health effects and dietary overload are seldom considered when the waitress brings favorites tableside. Depending on the size of your family, such habits amount to a remarkably costly expenditure; breaking the frugal budget that as coupon clippers we work so hard to maintain. It’s not until we ascertain a visual weekly, monthly, or yearly total that we grasp reality; aware our money could be spent on better things or better yet saved for the future nest egg. Eating out, in theory, seems to be the hardest mannerisms of defeat that families have today; providing an ease that surfaces like an addition and is difficult to say hard to.

November’s “No Eating Out Challenge” couldn’t have came at a better time for my family, I feel inspired by the
prominent positives and absent of negatives. One month gives my family the proper time to break the overspending habits of dining out; helping us to sustain healthier options. The money we save we have denoted as the needed incentive that stands to assist in our need to purchase a much safer and functional automobile, a family oriented four door. As a family unit we do not eat out a great deal, only a few times a month; not even once a week. However, he frequently grabs a quick lunch at a fast food establishment which increases our monthly amount and puts us at the highest end of the budget we have set for this. At current I am unsure as to how to properly fit work lunches into the schedule but realize that with a family set down dinner we will increase communication so to work together on new trial areas. I will be blogging throughout my adventure in this challenge, perhaps through Twitter as well; I do not expect this monthly November challenge to be difficult for our family as it may for other families, please remember this eliminates ordering in as well. Christina has cooked up several ideas for those participating that I will next expand upon. Here’s to pinching the penny straight to the piggy bank, a healthier life, savings, and getting to know yourself and your children over a dinner at the dining room table.

Canine and Pet Safety This Halloween

With less than a week until the adventures of Halloween you probably have your child’s costume purchased as well as protective devices such as glowing tape and flashlights. However, few think about their beloved canine when it comes to the fun of a safe Halloween weekend. I have taken the liberties to creatively offer my recommendations for a candied holiday, if you own a feisty feline you also may desire to take notes as the same will apply to cats as much as it would dogs. A responsible pet owner takes full regard for his/her pet, at all times; especially the night of Halloween.

T – Trick-or-treating children in full costume, hyperactive from their attained neighborhood sugar buzzes are likely to scare your canine this Halloween. As a pet owner it is your full responsibly to care for your pet as you would your child, please keep canines inside and away from the ghoulish guests. Baby gates, crates, and other barriers are options to consider when it comes to keeping canines away from the door; this will prevent any animal injury that may result in your canine’s fear.

R- Resist all urges to give candy to your canine. Chocolate is highly toxic to canines, felines, as well as ferrets; a small taste has the potential to kill your beloved animals, please heed this warning. As you dart back and forth to the door you may be tempted to leave the candy dish near to the door, you must make sure this bowl is clear from your canines reach; your dog will sniff out these individual delights and in a matter of minutes have the entire bowl gone. Wrappers, candy suckers, as well as plastic and foil pose a great health problem for dogs as well. Instead, I recommend that you praise your canine and provide increased affection; homemade dog biscuits are also a safe alternative to candy, however it must be noted that store bought dog treats can cause health risks when given too often or when the dog has too many.

E- Expand your canines comfort level by keeping him/her away from the door, out of the stressed area of the home, and in a quiet and secluded area of the home. Pets tend to grow quite fearful of neighboring children and even the household’s own children in decoration for Halloween; a  pet’s life should remain calm, cool, and collective at all times. The constant ringing of your doorbell may harm your dog’s ears and create discomfort that leads to agitation, it is best if you take the animal to a part of the home where the doorbell and door knocks are the most silent; as a pet owner you can also make your canine comfortable by background white noise of a television since your pet is accustomed to the family television.

A- Actively avoid the use of candles around your canine, such as the candle you have put into your carved pumpkin. Dogs will become hyper and easily could knock over the Jack-O-Lanterns you have, catching the home on fire; in addition the canine or other pets can easily burn themselves if they investigate too closely. Never put a pet near any type of lit candle as a rule of thumb, especially with the traffic on Halloween; however candles and pet’s do not mix at any other time due to the burning of fur and increased home fire risk. As a pet owner it is your duty to keep the candles safely away from your pet, even at a range where he/she may jump up to  or upon.

T- Tags located on your canines collar will help to identify your canine in the increased change your pet goes missing, simply this can happen due to the door-to-door youth bidding for candy treats as your dog follows them. In this case I recommend micro chipping your pet as you would to prevent disaster in family emergencies. However, if you follow the above suggestions for your canine you should have limited problems; canines can be perfect escape artists, so keep this in mind as you will want your pet home and safe at all times with you.

Scrapbooking on a Budget

With winter approaching and the weather forecasting unpleasant temperatures, scrapbookers are organizing their tools so to craft to heart content; scrapbooking is a wonderful hobby to pass the time when unable to get out due to ice and snow as well as a recommendable pastime to relax and regroup. However, those with a list of items that need to be purchased must know five (5) frugal secrets to the scrapbooking hobby that will keep the budget balanced and the money in the bank for other items. It is my recommendation to go as frugal as possible with this hobby since the items included amount quickly to a large amount of the personal budget; to do that you should know:
{1} Take Advantage of Photo Printing Deals:
-In accordance to your frugality, shopping saving blogs that you may currently be connected with may yield the essential keys to saving an considerable amount of money towards developing your scrapbooks and photography used in each. Within the last six months Internet digital printing sites have waged war with themselves to ascertain business by offering a specific number of free photos to the avid personal photographer; this continues and can be discovered easily through Google search. In example; Snapfish current offers 100 digital photo prints to new members for only shipping costs, $5.95. I recommend snagging every digital photo Internet promotion, do this for all companies offering such promotions to save the greatest overall amount; also search the Internet for promotional codes that are found regularly. As an avid personal photographer, I never pay for digital photo development nor do I waste my ink to add additional costs; simply, I print based upon free offers for members and non-members.

{2} Utilize Coupons Towards Your Creativity:
-As a frugalist we tend to utilize coupons against everything we purchase so to lower the total amount due, this should be no different in the hobby of scrapbooking; in fact due to the increased itemized expense coupons should be found and used with every purchase. This includes photography, scrapbooks, card stock, pages, tools, embellishment, decals, etc. My recommendation is to initially look online and print coupons that can be found, if coupon codes apply to online items from a non-common store purchase what you absolutely need for the future depending on the percentage of savings which should be above 40% for the best coupon savings to these e-retailers. I tend to use Michaels, Hobby Lobby, JoAnns, as well as retail stores I shop for purchasing hobby related goods; with these stores coupon codes, code promotions, and discounts can frequently be found on an overall subtotal –- in addition these coupons can utilized for BOGO deals and items for mere cents in cost. Shop sales, clearance, and discounts as much as possible if you have no coupons with you; I also tend to use the Dollar Tree for my products.

{3} Let Your Creative Juices Flow, Not Over Flow:
-In reference to your frugality it should be noted that less is more, in scrapbooking supplies and page embellishments will go farther if less are used; in a creative stance pages give a better appearance when they are not overloaded. Get crafty with the embellishments that you use, however, know that it is a timeless and classy design when less is used per page; you will want to keep this perspective throughout your whole book, knowing that you are saving items for another book and in addition saving a considerable amount of money. It is the photograph on the page that triggers the human memory, not the page embellishments; which should never overpower the image or draw the focus away.

{4} Shop Your Scrapbook Supplies Instead of Stores:
-This is the largest money spending concept of all, avid crafters purchasing items when the item needed was tucked away in their crafting room all along. Before you go to purchase anything or use the above ideas for new items, you should always visually inspect the items at you have in your home, nine out of ten times you will either have the item or find an item that you can use for the purpose you desired to buy for. To be a proficient scrapbooker or a successful scrapbooker, you only need to use creativity and love; none of which cost. The scrapbooking industry is a multi-billion dollar industry; new products are released every day it seems to capture our attention and also get our money.

{5} Use Creativity to Alter The Tools You Have:
-A scrapper has tools upon tools for the crafting they do, instead of running to a large store and purchasing a tool to do a specific function that will be used minimally; the creative brain should always know how to alter the items had at home. I believe that on each project I have completed I have altered a item so to  use it for a purpose it was not intended for; from putting clear varnish over nature’s autumn leaves and flowers to covering a pattern with one I desired more. I find that looking in other hobby store aisles pay off, when I have a coupon or the item I find is on clearance for above 50% off the creativities I have pays off in much larger ways. In addition, try to reuse items such as packing crinkle paper or gifting paper so to give you the best look; I am a firm believer that any item can be altered for scrapbooking purchases and used appropriately.

Perplexing to the visualizations of the naked eye, abuse morphs itself in a variant of wide-ranging forms; each dangerous with an enlarged potential to become deadly. Referenced as the improper usage or treatment of a person, abuse is often used as unjust means to improperly gain a specific benefit; those at the brunt of this mistreatment are determined as victims. Manifesting in a multiplicity of formats abuse can relate to physical maltreatment, verbal cruelty, sexual exploitation, and psychological violence; as well as many more specific structured improper gains, such as the abuse of power, child abuse, and verbalized abuse. Leading studies have discovered numerous links between household abuse and psychological disorders such as chronic depression, increased anxiety, posttraumatic stress disorder, anger, and dissociation in children as well as victims. One must be aware of such negatives and take action against them, before it’s too late; with the empowerment of the abuse this action is deeply difficult to those victims of innocence.

Initially, one must first know factually the precursors to abuse before proper actions can be taken; in many cases such indications are known, in subtle situations recognizing the abuse may pose difficulties; coming to terms with unjust treatment remains just as arduous. In accord to resent studies; verbal, emotional, and psychological abuse has frightfully risen to an all time high; such abuse comes without visual wounds, yet can be much more damaging then physical abuse due to the deviation of extent. Akin to physical abuse, emotional abuse remains deeply difficult to define; however such abuse is the vile mutilation of the victim’s heart, soul, and mind. Due to the increased presence, within the current day global society, survivors must ban together to assist other’s crawl from a dimly lit darkened hole from this unjust treatment; most importantly through factual research and recognization. Studying several websites for an extensive list of factored predispositions of emotional, verbal, and psychological abuse as a survivor I stand stout in my goals to assist others. It is vital to note that if you answer yes to any of the determinations below, such abuse may be occurring; the more times in which yes becomes the answer the most critical the extent of abuse. While your life is your choice, you will decide what you will and will not tolerate.

Physical, Emotional, and Psychological Abuse Manifestations:
Does your partner…

•Ignore or disregard your feelings and/or emotions
•Exhibit disrespect to you and/or reflects ridicule
•Belittlement to your beliefs, race, religion, heritage, and/or socioeconomic class
•Failure to show approval, affection, and/or appreciation
•Strongly criticize you with a stern voice that may include name calling
•Force you to always maintain a specific appearance or socialization even if sick
•Tells you that you are “just too sensitive”
•Seem to make sure that want you want is exactly what you will not get
•Attempt to control money and decisions in a dominate manner
•Attempts to control your money
•Reflect unpredictable mood swings, good to bad, for no reason
•Puts forth a good face in public vastly different from closed doors
•Shows that fighting only energizes him/her
•Complain unusually often about you or something you have done
•Threaten to throw you and your children out on the streets
•Threaten to leave you and your children knowing of the financial distress
•Physically left you stranded somewhere such as a shopping center or roadside
•Twist your words often so to turn them against you
•Threaten to hurt or harm you
•Pushed you, hit you, or shown other forms of physical violence towards you
•Promised to never hurt or harm you again
•Hurt something you love such as a pet, child, or object
•Created trouble for no reason or stirred up trouble so to fight with you
•Harassed you in relation to imagined affairs
•Manipulated you with various lies and contradictions of wording
•Destoyed items, furniture, and/or punched holes in walls from anger
•Question your every move and/or monitored your phone calls
•Made you feel as if you cannot win and/or do not have a place
•Given you proof that you are the full blame for a specific out of control fight
•Frequently spoken things that were later denied
•Treated you merely as a sex object and/or forced sex upon you regardless of your feelings
•Used illicit drugs and/or alcohol in which the situation tends to grow out of control
•Acted with extreme immaturity and selfish; yet accused you of the same
•Exhibit various rages such as road rage without a reason
•Lack self control

Critical Manifestations of Emotional, Psychological, and Verbal Abuse:
•You express your opinions less and less freely for fear of repercussions
•You find yourself walking on eggshells to detour fights or violent rages
•You long for the softer compassionate part of your partner to once again emerge
•You find yourself making random excuses for your partner and their behavior
You feel emotionally or physically unsafe with your partner
You feel you cannot discuss your relationship with others because it is not okay to do so
•You hope things will change, time and time again
You find yourself doubting yourself, your abilities, and your own judgment
You feel vulnerable, alone, and insecure
•You find yourself becoming exceedingly depressed more and more
•You feel trapped into the situation and powerless towards it and your partner
You are afraid of your partner
•Your partner has physically harmed or hurt you, if only once, if only an accident

Again, if you answered yes to the above such abuse is occurring; the more answering of yes the greater the threat of the situation. Thus, your next step is to take action on your own behalf and for your children (if you have children). You should always be aware that you can discuss your situation, no matter however bad or non•normal it may seem, with relatives or close friends; this will provide the emotional support needed from the encapsulated breaking down of such abuse. Again, regardless of the words your partner may have said you should always allow an outsider to know the full details of what is going on for the proper help and possible resolve. The police should be called for resolves in fights that get out of control and in any situations where violence has been exhibited; charges should be filed and orders of protections should be signed based of the extent, a police offer will set down with you and talk to you in regards to your options in protection. Domestic violence sheltered are not only reserved for those who have been physically battered, emotional abuse is strong and powerful also; if children are involved I suggest going to the home of a relative, friend, or shelter to keep the young away from the negative impact of abuse. You should never fight around your children or use your children in a manipulate stance, this contributes to the abuse against them. Lastly, the most vital response to such vile abuse is to exit the situation; resolves at times can be met through counseling yet not all sessions provide a resolve. You need to take a stand for yourself as the first step you take is the longest stride.
